Knightbloom ("we," "us," "our") is a sole proprietorship based in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains what information we collect through knightbloom.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past — it is short on purpose.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and fulfill orders.

• Inquiry and commission requests. When you use our inquiry form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message, including any reference images you attach.
• Mailing list. The inquiry form has an optional, unchecked box to join our mailing list. If you check it, we add your email to the list and record the date you opted in. Nothing is sent unless you opted in.
• Orders. When you buy something, our payment processor collects your name, shipping address, email, and payment details. We receive your name, shipping address, email, and order details. We never see or store your full card number.
• Correspondence. If you email or message us, we keep the conversation so we can refer back to it.
• Basic site data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

• To respond to inquiries and quote commissions.
• To fulfill, ship, and support orders, including returns and repairs.
• To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.
• To send you order confirmations, shipping notices, and replies to your messages.
• To send occasional news about new pieces, only if you opted in to the mailing list.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We will not add you to a marketing list unless you separately ask to join one, and you can leave at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the shop, and only what they need to do their job:

• Payment processing: Shopify. Their privacy policy governs the payment details you enter at checkout.
• Shipping: the shipping carrier receives your name and address to deliver your package. For international orders, a customs declaration with your name, address, and a description of the contents is required by law.
• Website hosting and email: Verpex and Microsoft.
• Mailing list: We are currently only storing email addresses locally.
• Legal requirements: we will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or safety.
• If the business changes hands: if Knightbloom is ever sold or transferred to a new owner, customer records would go with it, and the new owner would be bound by this policy or would tell you how theirs differs.

We do not share your information with anyone else.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Shopify may set cookies necessary to operate the cart and checkout; those are functional, not advertising.

Do Not Track. Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no industry standard for how to honor them. We do not track you across other websites in any case.

5. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction. Email us and we will tell you what information we hold about you and correct anything that is wrong.
• Deletion. Email us and we will delete your information, except records we are legally required to keep (for example, sales records for tax purposes).
• Verifying it is you. Before we share, change, or delete information about you, we will confirm the request came from you, usually by replying from the email address on the order or asking for the order number. We do this so no one else can get your information by pretending to be you.
• Marketing. We do not send marketing email unless you have opted in. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our mailing address, and includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
• If you are outside the United States. You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent to our use of it. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may contact your national privacy regulator: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).
• Children. Our site and products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. How we protect it

We use reputable providers for hosting, email, and payments, and we keep access to your information limited to what is needed to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps and will tell you if we learn of a breach affecting your information, as California law requires.

How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then we delete it. Order records are kept for as long as California tax law requires. Inquiry emails that do not turn into orders are deleted after one year.

7. Where we operate

We are located in California and ship to the United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), Australia, and New Zealand. Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your country and where it may be accessible to U.S. authorities under U.S. law. By using our site or placing an order, you consent to that transfer.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will note it at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
